ABOUT

Mulunesh grew up in Addis Ababa. Tough economic situation forced her to leave the school to help her mom selling firewood. After getting married, she tried herself in different activities to support her 5 kids and family. Life led her to join her husband's traditional clothing business, which completely changed her life. After Bridging Gaps workshop, managed by N4ED, she was determined to start a business, making traditional clothing. Mulunesh looks positively at her business idea: «While the traditional cloth-making and weaving industry have been done the same way for a long time, my vision for it is more advanced. To address the concerns of today’s consumers, my strategy is to champion local products by offering superior quality and eco-friendly alternatives at an affordable price point.  With better financial support, I believe I can stand on my own, create job opportunities for other women, and make positive changes in people’s lives. » Mulunesh's commitment to authenticity ensures that it’s clothing not only promote cultural identity, but also guarantees environmental sustainability and durability.

Together, we can help Mulunesh make a positive impact!
