Fundraising Fellowship
The Bridging Gaps Fundraising Fellowship is an innovative program designed to empower young leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to become effective fundraisers for non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the UN, and other social impact initiatives. The fellowship provides participants with hands-on training, capacity development, and real-world experience in fundraising.
You want to learn the essentials of fundraising, deepen existing knowledge and boost your CV? You are excited to support an up-and-coming nonprofit and empower local entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams around the world?
No matter whether you are a university student, a recent graduate, a young professional or already have experience in nonprofit management; if you bring passion, at least 3 months, and ideas, this fellowship is for you!
The selection process will be led by Bridging Gaps and consist of two phases: a written application and an online interview. The programme will be held in English. Fundraising campaigns may be carried out in other languages upon agreement.The Bridging Gaps Fundraising Fellowship has a duration of at least 3 months and can be extended to a maximum period of 12 months. The fellowship can be done part-time (approx. 10 hours per week) while working or studying.

A certificate of participation to enhance your CV, LinkedIn and future job applications

Your own fundraising campaign to showcase in your portfolio

You may be eligible for ECTS upon prior agreement with your university

10% of the funds you raise during the real-world experience will be provided to you as a stipend

Diploma in Social Innovation
Located in Costa Rica, within the University for Peace, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UPEACE), the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education delivers dynamic courses to leaders from around the world.
The Bridging Gaps Fundraising Fellowship has been accepted for credit with the United Nations-established University for Peace, to count toward a Diploma in Social Innovation with the Centre for Executive Education. This unique program brings together all of the practical aspects of starting and managing a purpose-oriented organization, from writing a business plan, to managing teams and creating a plan for ethical marketing. Upon completion of the Fundraising Fellowship, you will be 40% done with the Diploma in Social Innovation, meaning that it can be completed by choosing just 3 additional courses and pairing with a coach for 3 sessions, all of which can be accomplished in less than a year!

The Global Good Fund’s Fundraising for Social Impact course will be available for free for all participants of the Bridging Gaps Fundraising Fellowship. It is a flexible learning experience created to guide aspiring fundraisers through the process of cultivating donors, creating a fundraising plan, and delivering an effective fundraising pitch. The course focuses on building meaningful relationships with people who care about the same issues. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Cultivate and engage their network to raise money for their organization or personal cause

Recognize their areas of strength and growth as a fundraiser

Confidently apply strategies for effective storytelling and active listening

Host fundraising pitch meetings with donors to help meet their fundraising goals
