Empowering the Next Generation of Fundraisers: Highlights from Our 2024 Pilot Fundraising Fellowship

This past September, we were thrilled to welcome our pilot cohort of Fundraising Fellows! 26 changemakers from 21 countries joined us for a series of workshops and capacity building sessions on diverse aspects of fundraising, from using AI in fundraising to developing effective partnerships.

Our cohort also completed the Global Good Fund’s Fundraising for Social Impact course, following a step-by-step guide on cultivating donors, creating a fundraising plan, and delivering an effective fundraising pitch.

Our facilitators, including CSR experts at Babbel, network weavers from SDSN Youth, fundraising specialists from the Grameen Foundation, directors of Refugee-Led Organizations, communications experts at the UN, and others, shared their experience, top tips, and storytelling skills to inspire us to think creatively about effective and human-centered fundraising. One participant shared at the end of the capacity-building phase:

“I really appreciated the workshops where the speakers shared their own first-hand experiences—it felt so genuine and real. They didn’t just talk theory; they gave us practical tools and answered our questions in ways that really addressed the challenges we face in practice.”

What’s next? 22 of our fellows have gone on to design unique fundraising campaigns. These innovative campaigns are in progress, so stay tuned for updates! In case you’re eager for a sneak peekthink art auctions, virtual runs, and plenty of creative, and human storytelling.
